General Information/ Current Status:

This lawsuit seeks to recover at least $884,371.23 in damages caused by the Defendants' mishandling of investor funds. On April 20, 2007, the Receiver filed his Complaint. On June 14, 2007 Defendant Max International and Defendant Nigel Gilbert filed their Answer.

The Receiver then entered into an agreement with the Assistant U.S. Attorney overseeing a civil forfeiture action against Robert Tringham's assets in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Under that agreement, the IRS would transfer $884,371.23 and interest to this Receiver to handle as part of the receivership estate. Accordingly, the Receiver filed his Notice of Dismissal (Exhibit 1 - Exhibit 2) for Robert Tringham, First National Ban Corp., and First Asset Management Corp on November 15, 2007. He then filed a Stipulation of Dismissal for Max International Broker Dealer Corp. and Nigel Gilbert.
